#45: Wisdom from a Montessori Mom

with Maranda Deason

In this mom story, you’ll meet Maranda Deason, Montessori teacher and mother of 7 children including 3 under age two! She shares her thoughts on the cultural changes in parenting she has observed between her two sets of children and how she manages every day life, including a full time job, a little bit of self care and helping other parents get the resources they need (that she didn’t have as a young mom).

About our guest

Maranda holds an American Montessori Society Infant/Toddler credential, an Infant Mental Health endorsement, and is a Parent-Child Facilitator. She’s committed to educating and supporting families to enhance the child development experience for all involved. Her core interests are in the areas of Montessori, early literacy, infant mental health, postpartum education, family support and social justice.

Maranda’s drive to support families stems from her personal experiences as a young parent and the lack of resources she experienced. She wants to empower parents to care for their families by helping bridge the gap between the lack and access of resources for families.

One last thing.

I spend time each morning in meditation and would love to pray for you, your child or whatever’s on your heart. Simply email me and let me know how to pray. It can be as simple just your name or you can give a short explanation. Either way you can trust that I will do it.
